The Courtyard Helsby is conveniently located on Lower Rake Lane, just yards off the A56 Chester Road in the heart of the village of Helsby. The Courtyard has easy access to J.12 and J.14 of the M56 making access to Chester in approximately 15 minutes by car. Buses stop at the top of the lane on Chester Road and Helsby railway station is only a few minutes walk away providing easy access to Chester in just 8 minutes making it easy to leave the car behind for a more relaxing stay. From the station it's just a 10 minute walk to the city centre or there is an excellent free bus link from the station to the centre dropping off at various points.

Being close to the heart of the village there is a Post Office, a One Stop convenience store, Helsby Fast Food Fish & Chip shop, Helsby Wok Chinese takeaway and Helsby Spice House Indian restaurant which also sells takeaways. We are also less than 1 mile to a main Tesco store.   

From J.14 M56:
Take A5117 (A56) Helsby and Frodsham and continue on to A56 for approximately 2 miles. Passing the District Garage and shops on left hand side turn left into Lower Rake Lane immediately before The Railway Inn and The Courtyard is 50 yards on the right hand side just past the pub car park.

From J.12 M56:
Take A557 (A56) to Frodsham and Helsby. Continue through Frodsham and into Helsby. After passing Helsby High School and then the Horse & Jockey pub on the right hand side continue until The Railway Inn and turn immediately right into Lower Rake Lane. The Courtyard is 50 yards on the right hand side just past the pub car park.

By Train:
Leave the train station and follow up Station Avenue to the 'T' junction and turn left on to A56. Take the next left into Lower Rake Lane by The Railway Inn and The Courtyard is 50 yards on the right hand side just past the pub car park. (Less than 5 minutes walk)

By Bus:
A local bus service stops at the top on either side of Chester Road (A56) by the Railway Inn.

By Plane:
Helsby is just 25 minutes away from both Manchester and Liverpool John Lennon airports. Arrangements can be made with a local chauffer service for you to be collected from, or driven to, the airports. Please enquire for further details.

The Cottage at The Courtyard Frodsham is conveniently located on Main Street, right in the heart of the market town of Frodsham. The Courtyard has easy access to J.12 and J.14 of the M56 making access to Chester in approximately 15 minutes by car. Buses stop right outside the door and Frodsham railway station is only a few minutes walk away providing easy access to Chester in just 8 minutes making it easy to leave the car behind for a more relaxing stay. From the station it's just a 10 minute walk to the city centre or there is an excellent free bus link from the station to the centre dropping off at various points.

The village is well provided with shops, bars, restaurants and takeaways. It is also a few minutes’ walk to a Morrison’s supermarket.

From J.14 M56:
Take A5117 (A56) Helsby and Frodsham and continue on to A56 for approximately 5 miles. When you enter the village of Frodsham you will pass under a railway bridge and The Cottage is on the right hand side next to the shops called “Eve” & “Classy Rags”.

From J.12 M56:
Take A557 (A56) to Frodsham and Helsby. Continue into Frodsham passed the “Bears Paw” pub on your right hand side at the traffic lights. The Cottage is approximately 500 meters on the left hand side next to the shops called “Eve” & “Classy Rags”.

By Train:
Leave the train station on to Church Street. Turn right and walk to the traffic lights with the “Bears Paw” pub ahead of you. Turn left and The Cottage is approximately 500 meters on the left hand side next to the shops called “Eve” & “Classy Rags”. (Less than 5 minutes walk)

By Bus:
A local bus service stops either side of Main Street.

By Plane:
